Spring clean your wellness routine: easy tips for a seasonal health reset

Hello hello,

I don’t know about you but spring has me so motivated for a reset. I thought what better time to reset my own goals and get back to the blog. It‘s also the perfect chance to hit refresh on your wellness routine. Think of it like spring cleaning, but for your health. No need for drastic changes, just a few simple tweaks to help you feel better as the seasons shift.

Let’s keep it easy and low-pressure. Here’s how you can give your wellness routine a little reset this spring:

1. Let go of what doesn’t serve you

So, let’s get real for a sec, there are always those wellness habits we think we should be doing, but we’re really just not into it. Whether it’s trying to drink a green juice every morning or doing workouts you don’t actually enjoy, spring is the perfect time to just let those go.

Instead, focus on what feels good for you. Maybe it’s a gentler yoga routine, or maybe it’s taking a walk in the park instead of doing a high-intensity workout. No need to force anything that doesn’t vibe with you, just find what makes you feel energised and positive.

2. Keep your diet simple

We’ve all been there, winter is cozy, and comfort food is basically calling your name (as it should). But with spring, it’s time to bring in some fresh foods to fuel your body. You don’t need a complete overhaul, just think of a few easy swaps.

My tip is to replace one processed snack with something lighter, like some hummus and veggies or fruit and nuts. And of course, don’t forget to drink plenty of water. Your body’s going to thank you for it as the weather warms up.

3. Move your body in a way that feels right

No need for intense gym sessions every day (unless that’s your thing, I’m not judging). Spring is about getting outside and moving in a way that feels natural. Whether it’s a walk, a hike, or even some light stretching, just get moving.

If you’re in the mood for something a little more fun, try a dance workout or just put on your favourite song and dance around for a bit. I’ve been doing this lately and while it feels a little strange at first, I noticed it really changes your mood for the day. Whatever works for you, just keep it light and easy.

4. Declutter your mind

Spring cleaning isn’t just about your closet, it’s a great time to clear some mental space too. If you’ve got a ton on your plate or your mind is constantly racing, now’s the time to simplify things.

Maybe try journaling or just taking a few minutes each day to sit in silence. Clear out some of that mental clutter so you have more room to focus on what really matters.

5. Sleep more (seriously)

We’re all a little guilty of staying up late scrolling, working, or reading a good book, but honestly, sleep is a game changer. If you’ve been putting off a proper bedtime routine, now’s the time to prioritise it. Aim for 8-9 hours of sleep (yes, I said 8-9…we need more than men) and try to wind down an hour before bed. No screens, just some quiet time.

Your body will thank you for the extra rest, especially as things start to heat up outside.

6. Refresh your mindset

Spring is the season of growth, right? So, let’s take a moment to set some intentions for the next few months. Think about what you want to create for yourself this season, whether it’s in your health, your career, or just your overall well-being.

Start small, but make it meaningful. Sometimes a fresh perspective is all you need to feel more aligned with where you want to go.

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a big, overwhelming thing. It’s just about making small adjustments that help you feel your best. So, take it easy, and don’t stress. This is about what feels good for you. It’s the perfect time to reset and refresh, no need to be perfect. Just focus on what brings you joy and go from there. Let me know in the comments what you’re doing this spring to reset and refresh. I’m always curious to hear more tips for my girls.
